PRIMAL Perception, Robot Intelligence, and Machine Learning Laboratory

Aroudra S. Thakur is an undergraduate student pursuing a BSc Honors in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), with minors in Mathematics and Business Administration. He is incredibly passionate about Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence and is currently engaged in research in human pose estimation, event-based vision, and AI applications for accessibility. Aroudra is currently conducting research in event-based vision under the guidance of Professor Diego Patiño, focusing on asynchronous systems for efficient visual processing. In parallel, he is working with Professor Chenxi Wang on human-centered AI applications. He is currently preparing a publication in human pose estimation and has presented a research poster titled “AI Applications in Special Education” at the ASEE Gulf-Southwest conference. His broader research interests span event cameras, human pose estimation, 3D vision, reinforcement learning, and AI for social impact.
